Dr. Ping Wu co-founded SummitView Capital in 2011, with over 20 years of experience as a researcher, entrepreneur and investor in SoC Designs, Semiconductor and Mobile Internet. Under Dr. Wu’s leadership, SummitView has invested in nearly a hundred high-tech companies to date, and has had several successful large-scaled M&As. Dr. Wu is deeply involved and substantially well-connected in the industry around the world.

Prior to SummitView, Dr. Wu co-founded Spreadtrum Communications, and served as the Chairmen & Chief Executive Officer since 2001. Spreadtrum Communications listed its IPO on NASDAQ in 2007 and has grown into the largest Chinese semiconductor IC design company servicing domestic and international IC markets.

Dr. Ping Wu also led two successful M&A transactions during his time at Spreadtrum Communications: Quorum Systems Inc. (USA) and GALAX Co. Ltd(China). Dr. Wu also advised several well-known international VC companies such as Walden International. In addition, Dr. Wu founded ZhongJing Capital (China) in 2009 which invested in several seed-stage companies as an angel.

Dr. Ping Wu obtained his BSEE degree from TsingHua University and his MSEE and Ph.D. from China Aerospace Academy.
