Mason Xu is Founding Partner of Heyi Capital, and Founder, Chairman and CEO of DNA Pictures.
From 2010 to 2013 Mr. Xu was Group VP and Chief Financial Officer of Bona Film Group Limited, for which he led the IPO process which culminated in December 2010 (Nasdaq: BONA). He was also a member of the investment committee of Bona, and participated in the acquisition, investment/production and distribution decisions of over 40 film/TV drama projects.
Prior to joining Bona Film, Mr. Xu served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of China Digital TV Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE: STV) from 2006. He was a founding member of the company and took it public in October 2007.
Mr. Xu now also holds VP of China Foreign Investment Enterprise Association. He’s also serving as Independent Director of A-share listed Zhongke Chuangda (Ticker: 300496), and Independent Director of Lord Abbett China Mutual Fund. He is also Vice Chairman of Harvard Club of Beijing and Former Vice Chairman of Tsinghua Entrepreneur & Executive Club (TEEC) Beijing Chapter.
Mr. Xu holds two bachelors’ degrees from Tsinghua University (summa cum laude) and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
